World Wide English

Explanation:

English is the most widely used language in the world. In addition, English is used as both the language of science and the language of technology. It is known how important it is to learn a new language other than the mother tongue in terms of personal development, but it is a fact that our students are prejudiced against learning a new language, and this language is put into real life. They have anxiety about not being able to reflect. In addition, our students who can learn a foreign language lack the space where they can use the language skills they have learned.

It has been prepared with the aim of bringing together students from different nationalities through our project, to overcome these problems and to improve the language skills of our students.

Purposes:

To enable our students to improve their foreign language skills,

To enable our students to use technology tools effectively in foreign language education,

To enable our students to develop their imagination and design skills,

our students to become responsible individuals,

To enable them to develop their ability to cooperate,

to enable our students to transfer what they have learned in foreign language education to their own lives,

To enable our students to get to know and learn about cultures in different countries thanks to the language education they receive,

to break our students' prejudices against language learning and to encourage them to use foreign languages

Project preparation process:

Week 1:

-Getting to know partners,

Week 2:

-Pre-testing,

-Creating logos and banners.

Application:

Week 3:

-Student introduction meeting,

-City ​​promotions

Week 4: Letter/e-mail work,

Week 5: Researching and introducing different countries.

Week 6: Making a visual study in which a selected polygon is introduced in English.

Week 7: A story completion activity will be done using a web 2.0 tool as a common product.

Evaluation:

-Evaluation by making post-tests in the last two weeks

-Project dissemination activities will continue throughout the project, with school boards, social media, the school website and student promotions at school.

Expected result:

Our students;

-They will be able to develop their language skills and bring this skill to life.

-They will destroy their existing prejudices against language learning and show courage in this regard.

-Will be able to use technology in language learning.

-They will be able to recognize different cultures.

-Will be able to develop their design skills.

-They will be able to become responsible individuals.
